FAQ: Booking

How do I schedule an event?

Please fill out a Book Your Battle form

When can I book a laser tag event?

We generally book anytime, anywhere, so long as we have the space on the calendar. There is no time that is too early or to late!

How far in advance do I need to book my event?

We ask that you give us at least 48 hour notice to give us enough time to prepare for your event. We have in the past accommodated day of requests, but our calendar tends to fill up fast two weeks prior to most dates. We always encourage to book 2 to 3 weeks out so you have a better chance of landing the time and date you would like.

 What happens at an event?

We will arrive and set up 30-15 minutes prior to the event start time. Gamers may feel free to look and ask questions about the gear until we start the gear orientation. Once we finish the gear orientation will begin playing games and continue until the event end time. At the end of the event we will pack up while gamers go to other activities. Once all our equipment in stowed and paperwork is in order we will handle final payment. We expect the party host to be on site approximately 30 minutes prior to event start time until 30 minutes after the event end time. We can always accommodate other needs on a case by case basis.

Does the event work well for boys and girls?

Yes, they work great together at any age! Guys have the go get em’ attitudes and the girls are better shots and have a tendency to stick together as a team.

How old do you have to be to play?

There is no minimum age, but the guns are not light so we suggest that the age be 7 and above.  A 6 to 7 year old might have trouble carrying the gun for more than an hour.  The guns weigh about 4 lbs.  Usually a 6 year old or younger will team up with their guardian to help them play.

Do you do parties for adults?

Absolutely! Adults have just as much fun as the kids!

How many people can play at once?

We can host games for hundreds of people, but not all at once.  If you have a big group, we run a round robin type game, where part of the group gets a rest while the others play.  We can also run large games in a festival type atmosphere, where people play small 10 min games.  Laser Tag Live makes a great addition to other activities you may have planned, like in a school fair setting. We can run 20 gamers at any one time.

Is there an ideal size for the event?

We have found that you need at least six participants to generate enough excitement and energy to make a successful event. However, most parties typically have at least ten participants

What is the largest event you have done?

We have done events with 150 participants

Can younger or older siblings participate?

Yes, siblings can participate. However, they will be considered a full participant for billing regardless of their age and how much of the event activity participate in

Do you offer events on weekdays?

Yes, we typically offer parties any time

Do you offer locations for events?

Yes, we do have locations you can rent out for your party if a local park is not going to work out for you. Feel free to check out the venues area of our web page.

 What does a event cost?

The price of any event is broken down into 3 parts: Admission, Travel, and Tax.

Admission: Is the charge you will find on the right hand side of any of our packages. This is the cost per person for your event. We do charge for a minimum of 8 gamers for any and all events but above that you only pay for the people who play during your event. So don’t worry if someone is a no show, you won’t have to foot the bill for them.

Travel: We charge $1.02 from our location to yours, along with any other fees or tolls that may occur on the way to your event. If you really break it down it would be the same expense in gas as if you were to travel to any location yourself in one rig.

Tax: Is based on the location of your event. We use the WA State Sales Tax look up device to determine the tax rate at which we use for your event

Is there a deposit?

Yes, for one to two hour sessions its $10 per participant, for half day events or longer its $20 per participant.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we can use paypal, over the phone orders, or squareup.com for onsite transactions.

Will I be charged for people that don’t show up?

No, our contract includes a “Per Gamer Adjustment” rate that gives us the flexibility to adjust your total cost the day of your event.

What if more/less people show up then we planned?

We are more than happy to add them to the game so long as we have the equipment available.

How/when do I pay for the event?

The deposit is due 7  to 14 days prior to your event date. If your event occurs sooner than 14 days, it is due 2 days after the contract is generated and is sent to you. The final payment is collected during your event by the Mission Commander.

We can accept cash, check, money order, or credit card.

Do you accept tips?

Yes we do. It is not uncommon or party hosts to provide a cash tip to our staff, we do not expect it but do appreciate it.

Can you play outdoor/indoor laser tag in the winter?

Yes, in fact it’s the busiest time of year for us. There are not a lot of other sports, or activates going on in the winter, so it makes planning and coordinating Laser Tag Live much easier than during the summer. The other cool advantages to winter games is we get to game in the dark a lot more often, and gamers don’t need breaks as often as they would need during a summer session.

Do you offer any fund-raising activities?

Yes, we do. You can use us as a great draw for a for your fundraiser, you can check out more info on our FUNDRAISERs area of our webpage.

How much set up time is needed?

For a typical 1 to 2 hour laser tag event with 12 inflatables is about 30 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for take down.

What about rain?

The equiptment is of similar quality that the military uses in training missions, so it can be safely operated in almost any weather condition that your gamers are willing to play in. Usually people enjoy the cold and wet because they get to use all that camo gear that has been hanging in the closet for years. We will gladly reschedule because of inclement weather.

What should we bring to the game?

Make sure you wear proper shoes or boots for the weather, such as sturdy close-toed shoes, rather than flip-flops because you are going to be running around a lot. Some people like to bring gloves if it is colder, just make sure you can pull the trigger with them on.  It is good to wear layers, because after running around you’re going to get hot and want to take a layer off. During breaks or after the game though, you will get cold and are going to want to put that layer back on.  If it is in the winter or rainy, you can bring a change of clothes.

What if something comes up and I need to change my time or date?

We are more than willing to work with you in accommodating any changes that may need to take place.
